Valley View was created to bring veterinary care back to the basics—personal relationships, honest communication, and dependable service. Our goal is simple, to care for the animals that keep our farms running, and our pets by our side.

Located in the valley between Colville and Kettle Falls, our clinic is named for the place we call home and the people who have supported generations of local families. With years of experience and a heart for animals, we value real connection, hard workand reliable care every day.
Dr. Jenna Barker
OWNER, VETERINARIAN
I am a 4th generation born and raised in Colville. My deep family roots stem back to the Huguenin's who came over from Switzerland. I was raised and grew up on the family farm raising cattle and hay with my parents, Joe and Trish Barker. I was a 12 year senior at Colville High School, graduating in 2003, and worked from the time I was 16 all through high school and college at the Colville Animal Hospital with the late Dr. Terry Richards and Dr. Ed Kowitz. They helped formulate my love and interest in veterinary medicine and contributed to becoming the veterinarian I am today. I was extremely involved in 4-H and FFA growing up. I showed steers and heifers for over 10 years at the local county fairs (Valley, Hunters, NE. WA Fair and Republic) as well as pigs at the Junior Livestock Show and Interstate Fairs' in Spokane.

I attended Washington State University where I obtained a Bachelors in Animal Science in 2007 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from WSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After graduation I worked in LaGrand, Oregon from August 2011 - February 2012 before moving to Pasco, Washington where I worked from February 2012 - December 2014. The time finally came to move back home to Colville in January 2015 where I started working at Colville Animal Hospital until March 2016. After a two month maternity leave, I started working at Echo Ridge Veterinary Hospital from June 2016 - June 2026. After 10 years of working at my unicorn job, I decided to break out on my own - a finalized divorce and new outlook on life showed me how to become a stronger, more compassionate, empathetic & independent provider. After lots of planning, sweat, tears and a new profound relationship - Valley View Veterinary Service PLLC was born!
I have enjoyed being back home in my hometown helping family, friends & clients with their cats, dogs, goats, pigs, horses and cattle! I have a love and passion for helping the animals who can't help themselves.

I have two amazing young girls, Brooke & Joeleen, who thrive and enjoy this farm/country/vet lifestyle! You will probably see them out and about on farm calls, in the clinic or out on the farm with me. They have a passion and love for cattle, horses, cats and dogs. We are very involved in the North East Washington Fair where both girls show cattle and have for over 10 years already! I have been the Beef Barn Superintendent for the past 9 years as well. We love to be involved with and help out the Stevens County Cattleman too.

When I'm not working at the clinic, I'm home on the farm helping my parents with cattle, riding horses with the girls or working in the yard. I am an avid gym buff - luckily I have a home gym - as well as keep a meticulous yard/flower beds/garden.
